Cut it off … Now

This whole post really stems from a tweet I put out. “You can’t keep holding on to things that aren’t making you better” I think it’s pretty much self explanatory. But if it’s not I’m going to try to explain it to the best of my ability.

What It takes

In order for us to step into the life we are supposed to have we must change. Change is something that can come naturally or we can take part in. The important thing is that when it’s time for us to shift positions we cannot voluntarily allow ourselves to be held back by people places or things. If you’re asking how can a place hold you back. Well, let’s say you are entering the job market and in your city there aren’t many jobs available, so in order to gain employment you have to move. Being afraid of the move and being frightened by new places is how a location can stunt your growth.

It’s going to be uncomfortable

Before you start to side eye me. This is not going to be the easiest of things that will be done in your life time. Cutting ties can be overwhelming and emotional. If it were easy we would be doing it all the time. But with that being said, just because it is easy and convenient to keep negative things around doesn’t mean it’s healthy. The main reason I am preaching getting rid of dead weight is to make room for new opportunities. Again, this can be people, places or things. But mostly people. To be completely real, during your time of cleansing Listen to what your heart is saying, don’t mind what the outside has to say. Sometimes you have to do things that will only benefit you and not feel bad about it.

At the end of the day

When it’s all said & done I want you to be filled with joy, love and happiness and if there is something that is preventing those three things from happening, I’m going to need you to reevaluate why you are keeping it around.

I don’t want to ever be to harsh but I feel like I really need to let y’all know. Cut them, it or that out trust me, you’ll thank me in the long run 🥰
