I have not been on here for a while, for good reason of course! I think I have told you guys but if not I’m in grad school now! Which has been taking up most of my time! So far so good I do have to say. I am way surprised at myself for how well I am doing. As of right now I pretty much have As and maybe a high B in one of my classes, although I’m not all the way positive because one of my professors refuses to grade our assignments. We now have turned in two projects one going on three weeks and another on two of being in his possession. Which by the way I am not happy about. Mostly because I put in a lot of effort, and I feel like my stuff should be graded by now.

I will have to say, I am happy that I did the 2-year gap between undergrad and grad school. It allowed me to mature and learn from the mistakes that I made. I am learning to be more confident in my abilities as a student also, that I cannot compare myself to other students. We all have our strengths and weaknesses. Mostly I learned that it is ok to ask for help. No one is perfect and we are all here for the common goal.

Since you asked (even if you didn’t) I am liking my school. It is a complete 180 from my undergrad experience. The faculty and other on-campus services want to help the students out. The teachers are lenient and care about our feedback. I have the fortunate opportunity to work in an office that lets me set my hours and work on schoolwork! Like legit will ask me to do something after I have turned in my homework or finished my reading! Not only that but they have opened a food pantry just for your “school” at the university and encourage us to take it. Let me tell you, it’s good food too!

Midterms have just passed; I have one more in two weeks. The professor moved it because we have him for two classes, and he wanted to make sure we have a clear head to study. I am not particularly excited about the exam mostly because it’s not the easiest subject so I will be spending my weekend reading and finishing an assignment for that class.

Other than that, I do hope and want to make time to blog more. I do love it just after being on my laptop all day any extra screen time sometimes is dreadful.

Although writing is a good escape so we will see. Let me know if you guys would like to read about my grad school experiences, like making new friends, work school balance. Anything! I’m open to all suggestions!
