On January 1, 2023 at 12 AM I sat under the table to drink my champagne praying for love. I dont know where this myth came from, all I know is that if you go under the table at 12 AM NYE when the ball drops you will find love.

In that moment what I prayed for and not exactly, of course, is that I find someone that loves me unconditionally, in a healthy way and fulfills all my needs and I am able to do the same for them.

We are now in the 12th month of the year and … I am STILL SINGLE…

So maybe I sat under the table in the wrong position or had the wrong type of champagne.

Although, I am still chronically single, I did find love. As corny as it sounds, I found love in the most calm chaotic way. This year I found love in the people that I met and built bonds with.

I have been able to form relationships with some of the best people ever. I can’t forget to mention I have become even closer with my best friends.

This has been something that has been on my mind a lot. Mainly because I have been doing a lot of reflecting on my life currently and my past. I would not be where I am today if it were not for my friends. I can truly say I have a village behind me and I am so grateful for that.

But to bring it back to going under the table. It didnt work the way I wanted to but it worked the way I needed it to.
