Wake up at 4AM, get dressed, drink hot water with lemon, read the Bible, and then off to the gym. Drive through the empty streets and give gratitude for making it another day. Give 100% to the workout. Get back in the car, drive home, eat, shower and leave for work by 7:10AM.
Mornings that start like this make me feel like I have accomplished a lot before being locked away in a building all day to earn a check. Trying to have a life before work takes determination and effort. A reminder that everything we want does not come easily.
Although going to sleep and waking up early takes a lot of mental effort, the reward is having time to myself. Without time to myself I feel like I am giving all my time to work. I do not like that feeling. On the days I allow laziness to overcome my body I feel ashamed that I did not prioritize myself and my time.
